(Messenger) |
(Murderer 2) |
(Servant) |
(Son) |
The
costumes selected for this Macbeth scene are of traditional Scottish apparel
in that time period. The murderers
wear typical warrior garb, a large plaid cloth that wraps around the body and
acts like a kilt, a large belt, a leather vest, a neck guard, an arm guard
and a leather vest. They have blue
face paint along their faces. We also
chose to add cloaks to hide our faces when we enter to accompany Lady
Macduff’s line, “Who are these faces!”.
The servant girl and Lady Macduff both wear long dresses as well as
long sleeve shirts. The messenger
wears an outfit similar to the warriors, without the vest. He is dirty and bloodied from his
travels. The son wears a simpler
version of what all the men wear, without the vest or any armor. |
